Each excerpt is taken from a specific story, a complete paper copy of which can be requested free of charge. TRANSLATIONS on this website: The transpositions of the two poems by Giovanni Pascoli from the Italian to English, as well as lines from Walther von der Vogelweide and Rainer Maria Rilke from German into English are solely my own. The primary reason for this was my wish to transport the spirit (if possible tone and cadence) of the original into English, maybe in cases challenging grammatical convention.
